Dozens of schools in Bath and North East Somerset have closed on Monday because of snow and icy conditions.
Staff took the snap decision to shut the schools this morning, After fresh in a single day snowfall and a yellow weather warning for ice.

Who needs on school closures and why? It is normally the head teacher that makes the decision as to if they should shut the school that day.
The schools have to make certain the temperature that each room is heated appropriately and is able to stay warm at the standard 18C.
The teacher has to ensure that the safety of the pupils is thought of and has to answer a series of questions.
Is the school safe? Will it be too slippery for they while they are there?
