Church with history and tradition, built in the centre of Aradippou, is considered to be a real gem and religious shelter, not only for the people of Aradippou, but also almost the whole of Cyprus.
The day of feast of Saint, on 18 October, the church floods from faithful that go from each corner of Cyprus in order to honour the Apostle and ask his grace. It is known that Apostle Loucas is honoured as doctor of various diseases, especially ophthalmologic.
The church as its today, with the exterior resplendent appearance and imposing internal paintings emerges a Byzantine magnificence that impresses every visitor. The church in its current size is third in the line and it was built in 1939 in order to cover the increasing needs of population of Aradippou.
The first church was built in 1700AC in the same space much smaller and the second in 1851AC in the foundations of the first. In 1960 part of the reredos was destroyed by fire. The picture of Saint, as from miracle, was not damaged and is rescued today as an remarkable legacy.
