Skydive Cyprus

The centre was originally started to offer adventurous training to British service personnel over 40 years ago. This same offer continues today but as a result of continued interest, a club was formed to allow participation and progression in the sport.

The Cyprus Parachute Centre welcomes all-comers and can offer a variety of ways to experience this exciting sport. At the present time, the centre is only able to offer Tandem Skydiving but remains available to experienced and licenced skydivers. Please refer to our Facebook page for further information.

AIRCRAFT

We used to operate a Britten-Norman Islander Aircraft. Now we have beautiful Cessna 208B which will take jumpers to 13ooo ft all day long!

Our dear Islander (see opposite), that’s served us faithfully for the last 27 years, and has been sold. She will be part of the fleet operating from the Channel Islands, France and the UK.

CAFE

At weekends the club operates a small but very friendly Café. It offers a variety of drinks, sandwiches, toasties, breakfasts, cakes and pastries.

Once parachuting has finished for the day the Bar will open allowing anyone to enjoy a nice cold beverage whilst soaking up the sun and chatting about the days parachuting.

TANDEM PARACHUTING

If you want to experience every aspect of our sport on your very first jump, a Tandem Skydive is just the thing! Following a short pre-jump briefing, you will enjoy the thrill of free fall and even learn the basics of steering and landing a modern ‘square’ gliding parachute, while securely attached to a highly experienced instructor.

With a parachute specially designed for two people, you will board an aircraft and climb to around 13,000 feet (over two miles high!). When you and your instructor leave the plane, you will fall at about 120 mph, descending to 5,000 feet in around 45 seconds. At this point, your instructor will open the parachute and fly you safely back to earth! During the six minutes or so under the parachute, you will enjoy breathtaking and unique views of the local area and beyond.

DIRECTIONS

Travelling from Larnaca: take the A3 in the direction of Ayia Napa and take the exit for Xylotymbou & Dhekelia and turn left at the top of the slip road.

From Ayia Napa: head in the direction of Larnaca and take the exit for Xylotymbou and Dhekelia and turn right at the top of the slip road.

You now stay on this road for approx 1/2 mile until you see “Stelios Sandwich” on your right hand side, at this point take a left turn which turns into a dirt track, follow this track with the large church on your right hand side and you should be able to see the wind sock in front of you. Follow the path until you arrive at the DZ. Park up and check in with the Manifest.

Please note: for some reason, Google maps can take you to the centre of Xylotymbou village, we are definitely not there! We are about 2 kilometres to the north west of the village, please make sure you understand exactly were to go before your arrival date.
